The sound was very important to me, so everything you listen to was recorded by me. The funniest sound I made was the one when the clay ball spills over the table. I made that sound by just trowing a sponge soaked in water into a sink.
The setup for the video was very simple, I used a tripod, a camera with a remote controller and a piece of wire (the one shown below) to hold the clay ball in the air.
Inside Blender I stabilized each 126 frames individually (well, the program handled most frames by itself, but some needed a human hand).
After that I rendered the stabilized images and only then I made the clean up to remove the wire and my hand in some shots. I took advantage of the Blender masking tools, but some frames needed the use of Gimp.
And since the background was going crazy with my colleagues working and moving, I grabbed some frames with a calm background movement and made a mask around the table and put these frames in loop.
Then I made the sound, I recorded what I thought would be the weirdest sounds to apply to 2 clay balls crashing together in the air and get smashed in the table like a water balloon! Some sounds were made with Legos and a sponge soaked in water.
That's it, it was a very small video, but it needed a lot of work to get to what I wanted.
Enjoy, and if you're a bit more curious about this or any other video or work I made, just tweet me over @ProducoesPedroG or just comment on this post or on the videos!
That's it for today, bye!
